The Swift Decision – Why Leadership Matters for Women’s Health!

When it comes to women’s health and well-being, particularly for those navigating life with ADHD, the differences between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump couldn’t be more frightening.

As a girl or a woman with ADHD, you face unique challenges that may put you in vulnerable situations.

Your challenges can also be amplified by societal ignorance. As well as the lack of attention to women’s rights and mental health in broader policy discussions.

If you’re female with ADHD, there’s only one possible choice in the upcoming US election. Pro-choice!

And here’s why:

Unique Challenges for Women with ADHD

Sadly enough, girls and women with ADHD have lower self-esteem and experience peer rejection. Something that makes it tougher to stand up for yourself and set boundaries for others.

Indeed, many young women with ADHD will agree to having sex, because of a desperate longing to feel accepted and loved.

Girls and women with ADHD have a sixfold increased risk of becoming teenage mothers compared to young women without a diagnosis.

This may be due to ADHD symptoms, such as impulsivity leading to risk-taking and inattention leading to forgetting to take your contraceptives.

In the Turnaway Study, researchers explored how unwanted pregnancies and abortions affect women’s lives. And the message is clear:

Abortion does not harm the health and well-being of women.

Rather, being denied an abortion results in worse financial, health and family outcomes and that women stay in abusive relationships.

Influencing Mental Health in Future Generations!

A world where women with ADHD are robbed of the opportunity to plan future pregnancies is also a future where they are robbed of the opportunity for equal possibilities as males and undiagnosed women.

Unplanned and unwanted pregnancies that result in teenage parenthood deprive the young woman of the chance to build a safe, long-term foundation for herself and her future child.

Research is brutally clear here, adolescent mothers, and their children, will fall short on all variables needed for psychosocial health. Thus, putting Kamala in office will influence mental health for generations to come!

ADHD is hard enough without losing bodily autonomy. Adding political battles over health care and reproductive rights is yet another distraction that they don’t need. Empowerment and choice are non-negotiable.

We need leaders who get us:

Kamala Harris doesn’t just support women’s rights; she actively fights for them.

She’s fighting for a future where women – ADHD or not – are treated with respect and given full agency over their lives.DHD or not – are treated with respect and given full agency over their lives.

The Need for a Leader Who Multitasks Like Swift

And let’s be real, if there’s one thing we ADHD women can relate to, it’s multitasking with flair!

That’s why, much like how Taylor Swift can juggle a world tour while writing her next chart-topping album, the US needs a leader like Kamala Harris.

Someone who can handle protecting reproductive rights, advocating for mental health, and fighting for gender equality – without missing a beat.

Kamala Harris gets it – and we need her in office because honestly, we don’t have time for distractions that aren’t on our to-do lists.

And yes, Kamala, we’re checking that list twice.

Just like Taylor Swift checks her exes 😉

For the Future of All Women

In tIn the upcoming US election, the stakes couldn’t be higher for women. Especially those navigating life with ADHD.

This election is not just about political parties;

It’s about ensuring that world leaders prioritize mental health, reproductive rights and autonomy.

So, if you’re a US citizen, whether you’re voting for yourself or your daughters. Or the millions of women whose futures depend on these decisions:

Make sure your voice is heard.
Your vote will affect the future of all women. US citizen or not. ADHD or not.
